Ashlee Simpson is fighting back on MySpace against rumors that she is upset about her pregnancy weight gain. Unless it is Tori Spelling in the doctor's office with cameras taping her pregnancy weight gain for her show, I don't believe there is anyway to what know any celeb is thinking when they go in to see if they are packing on the pounds. So I am glad she spoke out.
BTW I can totally see Pete Wentz wearing her clothes.

David Duchovny, who plays a man that gets a lot of sex on Showtime's Califronication, has in real life checked in to rehab for being a sex addict according to what his lawyer told People.
"I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction," the actor says in an exclusive statement. "I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family."
Hopefully he is getting the help he needs. I just feel bad when he gets out when all the press asks him about it. What a thing to have to talk about.
I know it is weird to plug that Califronication is going to be back on Showtime on September 28th, but it really is a good show and he is great in it. Even if now we know why he was so able to get in to character.
Ladies, I thought you could use a laugh. Have a look at this video compilation of guys doing stupid things! It’s hilarious!
Sorry guys, I’m a major klutz myself and I’m sure some of the stuff I’ve done in the past would have had you rolling in your seats if it’d been caught on tape, but it wasn’t. So there!
Guys just seem to put themselves into situations where funny and stupid things can happen. Here, have a look:

Men doing stupid things… simple

Michael Ausiello is reporting that Melinda might become a widow on Ghost Whisperer this season. Now I wonder if the shadow that was missing in the season finale was actually her husband played by David Conrad and not Professor Payne played by Jay Mohr as suspected because he left the show to do Gary Unmarried.
Personally I hope they don’t kill him off because I really like him.
Something that has never been discovered in nature before was seen and studied recently. Although birds chirp, and frogs croak to give a Proactiv indication of coming dusk/dawn, scientists have never seen any animal show physical signs that one of the two are approaching.
Lizards have been observed doing push-ups, head bobs, and threatening extension of a colorful neck flap called a dewlap — to defend their territory at dawn and dusk. the lizards are the first known animal to make physical displays everyday at dusk and dawn.
Terry J. Ord, a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard University’s Museum of Comparative Zoology and at the University of California, Davis, describes the Anolis lizards’ unusual morning ritual in a forthcoming issue of the journal American Naturalist.
“Anoles are highly visual species, so in that sense it’s not surprising that they would use visual displays to mark territory,” Ord says. “Still, the finding is surprising because these are the first animals known to use non-acoustic signaling at dawn and dusk.”
“These patterns have remarkable parallels with the dawn and dusk choruses reported for many acoustically communicating animals,” Ord says.
“The dawn chorus may be a way of communicating having survived the night,” Ord says. “If in the morning a bird doesn’t hear its neighbor, or an anole doesn’t see its neighbor, it may be an opportunity for the animal to expand its territory.”
“All of these behaviors are displays of physical vigor,” Ord says. “As in humans, if an anole can do many of these push-ups it shows that he is in prime physical condition. These displays of strength help avert actual physical confrontations between male lizards, which can be very fierce and destructive.”
Isn’t nature amazing?

Newtonica is a cool new iPhone/iPod Touch game by Kenichi Nishi... currently available only in Japan I think. Music and sound effects by my friend Kenji Eno.
It's #1 on iTunes Store Japan right now...
UPDATE: It's available in 70 countries including the US.

In a modern-day tale of a young girl’s adventure to discover the truth about her family and her own destiny, ABC Familypulls back the veil on the mysterious world of Samurai legends in its new original production, “Samurai Girl.” Starring newcomer Jamie Chung as Heaven, who searches for truth, and Brendan Fehr (“Roswell”) as Jake, the one who may helpher find it, ABC Family will air the six-hour event over three consecutive nights at 8p:Friday, September 5 and continuing Saturday,September 6 and Sunday, September 7.
One of the things I really respect in Hollywood is stars who don’t take their success for granted and enjoy doing what they do! So when I saw this picture of the star of Samurai Girl Jamie Chung and the Executive Producer of the movie Luke McMullen in front of a huge billboard for the movie, I had to share it with you!
So support Jamie and Luke who sincerely appreciate what they do and watch Samurai Girl all three nights on ABC Family starting on September 5th!
Thanks John!

It is nice to see Michael Jackson walking around and not being wheeled around in a wheelchair. Too bad he is going around Vegas in PJ bottoms and without a mask. Now that we have seen him unmasked, he can go back to wearing it.
So sad to see what happened to man who had so much talent.

Seriously doesn't it look like she is testing out breast implant sizes to improve her Hills? Should she get an B, a C or a double D? Looks like Spencer Pratt wants her to get the Cs.

Michael Lohan went to the press and told them that he thinks that Samantha Ronson has been slipping his daughter drinks. Lindsay Lohan went on MySpace and responded to her dad. Hopefully he will read what she wrote because my hats off to her for what she said. She is the daughter and he is the one acting like the kid and not parent. Poor Lindsay.

OMG! I love whenever Guillermo steps in to a movie on Jimmy Kimmel Live! like The Bourne Ultimatum and The Incredible Hulk, but I think him being Don Cheadle’s stunt double in Traitor is the best one yet! Let’s just say he has to endure a “nut”cracker, seeing Larry King nude and have a car battery hooked up to his nipples to name, what more do you need? Watch the brilliant video to find out and make sure to watch Guillermo’s reaction after the video finishes!
You know Guillermo is becoming quite the little actor, who knows maybe next year he will be nominated for an Emmy for these brilliant segments. Heck I even think Don Cheadle needs to finally win an Oscar for his part in this segment.
In all seriousness Don Cheadle has come a long way since he did The Golden Palace. See how much so when Traitor comes out in theaters today.
Now when it comes to Jimmy Kimmel Live! check him out tonight on ABC at 12:06a when he has Kristin Chenoweth and Staind and tomorrow when he finishes the week with Lauren Conrad and Glen Campbell.

Be afraid, be very afraid The Fly is being turned in to an Opera by the director who remade the classic in 1986 according to the Daily Star.
Rather than singing, the operatic tenor will be conducting performances. Placido admits at first he was dubious about bringing the film to the stage: “I was a little skeptical about the subject. ‘The Fly?’ I said ‘well, how is it going to be reading for an opera?’ but it just takes somebody that has the experience of composer Howard Shore to write the music, and he has done a score that goes fabulously well with the story.”
While I think it can work as an Opera, I have no intention to see it when it opens here in LA next month. There is just something that seems wrong about it.
Here is one of my all-time most memorable scenes from a movie, and thankfully The Fly: The Opera is not based on this version of the movie! I think if it were Vincent Price would be turning over in grave or haunting someone over it! That seems like his style, no?
